Morning everyone,

I hope you are all keeping safe!  The weather in Norfolk hasn't been as bad as in some areas, but I know it has been horrendous in other areas.

I have got a weekend of preparing for workshops - there is a lot of scoring and cutting involved!!  In the mean time, here is one of the cards I did for the TV show earlier in the month.

For this card, I concentrated on the one of the lovely Magpie stencils from the set of three

The stencils come with the inni and the outi

For this card, I held the inni in place and gently shaded round the edges.  I used a stronger colour to shade the wings etc.  I added the verse and shaded round the edges of the card

As a finished touch, I dotted and dashed round the edge with a fine pen

Very simple, but I quite liked it - hope you do too

Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Time marches on!

Morning everyone!

Hope the weekend finds you well!  I hope you are all managing to stay dry!  There is a field at the back of my house and it is virtually under water, but so far the house is safe, which makes me luckier than many people out there!  Let's hope the rain eases off for a while to give everything a chance to dry out.
I am off to a wedding this afternoon, so hopefully we might even get a bit of sun - it is looking quite promising so far.....

Today's card is one I did using stencils only - no stamps!  I used two stencils from the new range at Clarity; 'Time and Tide' and 'Seaweed'

I placed time and tide on the 7x7 cardstock,
then seaweed over the top
using the stencil brushes, I brushed various blues and browns onto the card
I removed the seaweed stencil
and brushed a bit more ink over, so the seaweed was more faded
With time and tide still in place, I used a fine blue pen to go all round the stencil
Remove time and time
Add a few little clock faces
Mat and layer
There you go!

Hope you like it

Thanks very much for visiting and thanks to those of you who leave comments, i enjoy reading them!

Have a great weekend

A day off!

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all doing okay!  I have got a day off today!  Yaay!  I did two workshops last weekend and one yesterday with Moira.  They are good fun to do, but it can be tiring, so I am pleased to have a Sunday off.  I am going to watch the Clarity shows on TV and just have a nice day pottering round the house trying to catch up with some of those jobs you never get round to doing!

Then a bit of planning for the next round of workshops - hope you can join me for one of them.

These cards are from the Claritystampers East workshops last weekend, all done using the lovey new Chrysanthemum stencil and stamps

Thanks to all the lovely ladies who attend the workshops, you make it great fun!
Have a great Sunday!
